SJ Whitaker, a native Texan through and through, has vigorously specialized in family law and personal injury for more than 13 years. As a graduate of Abilene Christian University, SJ is faith-driven both in her personal life and in her work life. After personally experiencing a high-conflict divorce herself in 2004, SJ developed a passion for law and a desire to advocate for others. Thus, she went on to pursue her law degree, graduating from South Texas College of Law in Houston, Texas in 2008. While working along-side a seasoned lawyer who served as her mentor, SJ built a solid reputation for herself and decided to start her own law firm. In 2010, she took a leap of faith as a solo practitioner and established the Law Office of SJ Whitaker.  SJ will meet with you in person for your initial consultation. She will maintain a close working relationship with you throughout the duration of your case, and she will be your primary point of contact from beginning to end.
